When I think of cactus I almost always think of the old west. I can just see a cactus on the outskirts of an old western town, as a tumbleweed blows through. I also, find myself thinking of a more desert area, like Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and so forth.
I think that cactus are really beautiful and interesting plants. I love that some of them bloom the most beautiful flowers as well, but being a small child growing up in the prairie I quickly learned to not touch nor step on them. Ouch! Just even thinking about it makes me remember not ever wanting to touch one again.
