I cannot believe that fall time is here again. It seems each year it comes faster and faster! I do love fall and all of the beautiful colors this time of year but mostly I am excited to share with you how to simply decorate your home for fall! On the blog I have not shown my fall decor yet but this year I wanted to share how I usually decorate my home for fall!
I don’t know about you but I love to scroll through pinterest and find decor inspiration and see how everyone decorates their home. The one thing I love about looking at other people’s decorating is that not everyone decorates the same way! Everyone has their own tastes and styles. I hope that you enjoy this post! 🙂

How to Simply Decorate for Fall
I love the fact that during the weather change it gets a little chillier outside and I get to pull out my seasonal candle smells to get me in the mood and make my home feel like a cozy autumn haven. There is something about the mornings getting crisper and the fall scents that make my home cozy this time of year. And today I am excited to share with you how I decorate my home for fall! 🙂
Decorating for fall doesn’t have to be overwhelming or all about pumpkins. There are so many simple ways to add some fall charm into your home without overdoing or over decorating your space with all pumpkins.
I want to share with you how I simply decorate for fall with these simple tricks I use in my home, that you can implement into your seasonal decorating as well.
Plaid
Plaid is one thing that I do love when it comes to decorating during fall. I have a couple plaid runners that I use on my dresser and on our entryway table during fall time. I also have a couple plaid cushion covers to throw on my couch during the fall season.
Plaid is an easy way to some fall to your home.
Pumpkins
Of course I love to use cute decorative pumpkins around my home, as they are the main fall vibes when it comes to decorating during this season. I love using and placing small decorative pumpkins around my home and a few on my coffee bar tier tray, plaid pumpkins in my entryway and also on some shelves throughout the house.
When it comes to pumpkins I typically only decorate with small one’s and place them around my home in small batches, that way I don’t overdo it with pumpkins all over my home.
Fall Leaves
I found these fall leaves at a craft store and I loved them! I set them above a couple small windows in my living room and also one over our dresser mirror.
They come in 6 feet so I just cut them to the size I needed and I use the longer one to stretch over our dresser mirror in our bedroom. One Year I also draped them over our large tv as well. These fall leaves would also work great if you were creating a wreath, they would work perfect for that as well!
Of course the sky is the limits when it comes to these fall leaves. Not only could you use them in your window like I did but you could use them as extra decor for your table centerpiece or even place it on your tv stand.
Fall Florals
Adding fall florals is another great and simple way to add fall to your home! I have to say other than the plaid, fall florals are my favorite ways that I add charm and fall into my home. There are so many cute options and I love to add some bright orange colors along with neutral colors.
Wall Art
Wall art is a very simple way to also add fall into your home. I love to add seasonal wall art during the different seasons.

I love wall art because it is a fun and easy way to decorate my home.
Use a Tray
Using a tray is another way you can add your own fall style. Add in your favorite fall pieces into a tray and see how something small can make an impact. I added a candle, some pumpkins, a book and a glass pitcher to make my living room look not only cozy but to add a little extra fall flare.
Books are great because I not only think of a warm cozy home but also reading a book wrapped in a blanket. The pumpkins add the harvest feel and a nice candle adds the finishing touches of a cozy room.
Fall Candle
Last but not least, add a fun fall candle scent into your home to add the fall smells. There are so many options from apple pie, fall leaves, apple cider and more! I hope that this post inspired you on how you can simply decorate your home this fall season and don’t forget to have fun with it!
