Hamburger soup is one of my most favorite fall and winter comfort foods. It not only is a quick and easy meal to make during a work week night but it is one that I tend to go to when I am craving something warm. If you are someone that loves soups and they are your comfort food during the cold months as well, then I think you will love this simple recipe.

I love easy and simple recipes that you can cook and make within minutes. The cook time is 17 minutes and I’m going to walk you through each step on how you can create this great recipe. Are you ready?

This recipe I cooked the hamburger soup in the instant pot. If you don’t have an instant pot then I highly recommend getting one. I literally make as many meals in mine as I possibly can, just because it cuts down the cook time in half with most recipes and saves me time. Especially during the work week nights when I am already tired and just want to eat.

Instant Pot Hamburger Soup recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb. Hamburger

4 C. Beef Broth

8 oz. can of tomato sauce

1 can of green beans

6 Yukon gold Potatoes

Directions

Turn your instant pot on saute mode. Place your hamburger into the instant pot and cook until all of it is completely brown. I love to use this tool when it comes to chopping up my hamburger. It makes it so much easier.

Once your hamburger is completely cooked, you will need to drain out the hamburger using a strainer. You will only need to strain the hamburger if you don’t have a more lean meat. The leaner the meat the less you will have to strain from your meat.

Now that the hamburger is completely strained, add the hamburger back into the instant pot along with the 4 cups of beef broth. Add in the tomato sauce, potatoes, green beans and other veggies that you would love to add into the mix.

Use a spoon to mix up everything into the pot, close the pot lid and set the timer to cook for 17 minutes.

When the timer goes off, release the pressure. Do not open lid until all pressure is completely released.

Let cool for a few minutes and serve.

That is it! I hope that you enjoy this quick and easy instant pot hamburger soup recipe as it really is amazing just how fast you can have dinner on the table with an instant pot.
