I love baking and creating new recipes. Whether it be a chocolate chip cookie recipe, a no bake cookie recipe or just a simple cake or cupcake recipe. I just love baking in general, no matter what it is! 🙂

And wanted to share this easy cookie recipe with you that has an added secret ingredient that I put in my snicker doodle cookies.

Snicker Doodle Cookies Ingredients:

1 C Butter (Melted)

1 1/2 C. Sugar

2 3/4 C. Flour

2 Eggs

1 Tsp Vanilla

1/2 Tsp Lemon Extract (secret ingredient) 😉

2 Tsp cream of Tartar

1 Tsp. Baking Soda

For snicker doodle coating:

2 Tbsp. sugar

1 Tbsp. Cinnamon

Directions:

Set your stove to 350 degrees. Measure out your flour, cream of tartar and baking soda into a mixing bowl or your stand mixer bowl and mix together well.

In a separate bowl add in your sugar, eggs, vanilla, lemon extract and your melted butter. Stir all wet ingredients together.

Once, you have your sugar, eggs, vanilla and butter mixed all together well. Add the wet ingredients in with the dry and mix all ingredients together nicely until there is no more flour that you can see.

In a separate bowl you are going to want to place 2 Tbsp. of sugar with 1 Tbsp. of cinnamon together and mix together.

Spoon out a spoon full of cookie dough and roll. Once the dough is rolled, coat the dough into the sugar, cinnamon mixture.

Place onto cookie sheet, set stove timer to 7 minutes and bake for 7-8 minutes, for a softer cookie. Cook for 10 minutes if you want a more crunchy cookie. I personally love a soft and chewy cookie but it is totally up to you. 🙂

Pull out once timer goes off, set on cooling rack to cool and enjoy! 🙂
