Chocolate Chip Cookies are my most absolute favorite. You just can’t beat a good home baked, homemade cookie recipe. If you are like me and you like your cookie to be soft, chewy and filled with chocolate. Then this recipe is definitely for you!

Directions

Ingredients you will need:

1 c. butter or shortening

3/4 c. white sugar

3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed

1tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. water

2 eggs

2 1/2 c. flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1 (12 oz.) package of chocolate chips

Directions

You will need two separate bowls. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a bowl or stand mixer you will need to place your butter, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, water and 2 eggs together. Beat or stir mixture until well blended.

In the other bowl you will need to measure out your flour, baking soda, and salt together. Mix flour, baking soda and salt mixture very well. You can use a whisk or a fork. I usually just mix it very well with a fork but either one would work great!

Slowly mix in flour mixture to dough. Once all of your flour is mixed into the dough. Make sure it is well stirred and that you don’t have any flour on the bottom hiding.

Grease bottom of cookie sheet and use spoon to scoop out cookie dough. Once, you have the cookie dough on your cookie sheet you will need to bake it for 10-12 min. I usually pull it out at the 10-11 min. mark just because I like a softer and chewier cookie.

Once, baked let cookies set on cooling rack for a few minutes. I usually place tin foil on my cooling rack just to make clean up time easier. 🙂

Pull the cookies out of the oven when the timer goes off. Let cool and enjoy!
