Crock pot Mississippi Pot Roast is one of the easiest and most delicious dinners that you can create in your crock pot. I love easy, yet delicious recipes, as I am very busy and work full time, as I am sure you are too! Ain’t nobody got time or energy for that after a long day!

I love the instant pot as you can make a quick meal in 20 min or less depending on the meal that you are making. But sometimes it is nice to throw all your ingredients into a crock pot before the day begins, let it cook all day and when you get home, dinner is ready!

If you don’t have a crock pot, you can grab one Here! I highly recommend it, I love my crock pot and the endless meals that I can do!

This recipe is one that you will want to save for later! 😉

Mississippi Pot Roast

Crock Pot Mississippi Pot Roast Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 lb Chuck Roast
  • 1 Cup Beef Broth, for a less soupy pot roast. I added 4 Cups as I was planning to add it on top of Mashed Potatoes, to create a more gravy like meal.
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 7 Pepperoncini peppers or Jalapeño Peppers( I used 7 Jalapeño Peppers in this recipe, to add a little spice) most people use pepperoncini but don’t be afraid to add your favorite pepppers. 🙂
  • 1 packet Ranch Dressing Seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions:

Add in your beef broth, chuck roast, butter, ranch seasoning packet, salt and pepper along with your chopped up peppers.

Place lid on your crock pot and set on low. Cook on low for 8 hours, for it to cook. After it is done cooking, use a fork to pull the bigger chunks of roast apart. It is very tender, so it is easily falls apart.

Tip:

If you are wanting a less soupy pot roast I would suggest only doing 1 cup of beef broth. You don’t have to add it with mashed potatoes, but we love to eat it on top of mashed potatoes.
